I don’t claim to always agree with Robert McKenzie on all about which he writes–but I do find him a very thoughtful historian who also seeks to think carefully as a Christian. (He is a professor of history, formerly at the University of Washington, now at Wheaton College. I’ve used his book The First Thanksgiving in one of my final pre-retirement courses as a full-time professor of history at Northwestern College.)
Thus it is that I present to you for your consideration some of McKenzie’s thoughts on the Confederate battle flag at his blog. Here he is commenting more historically than theologically: THOUGHTS ON THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG—pt. THREE | Faith and History.
